Perhaps your list is just plain outdated or maybe your contacts have moved and not filed a change-of-address (assuming you have updated your list regularly using our National Change of Address (NCOA) service). Depending on your target demographic, 50% or more movers don't file a change-of-address with Canada Post. The least likely to file with the Post Office are low-income families, singles and students. And of those movers who do file a change-of-address, up to 25% are never matched to mailers' files because of stringent match criteria prescribed by Canada Post. Cleanlist's Right Person Connect service cross-references your list to our master file of over 14 million Canadian consumers and businesses (this database is updated monthly from the telephone companies, so it is very current and reliable.) When the person or business name and address on your list matches to the master file, it is marked as 'valid.' These records can be mailed with a high degree of certainty. We recommend not mailing non-validated records and either purging them from your file or doing some more research to confirm or update your information.
